Privacy Policy

Summary
Ridgebook does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. Everything you enter — lists, peaks, summit logs, photos, objectives, and notes — stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself. Ridgebook's own code never makes a network call under any circumstance.

Device Backups Outside Ridgebook's Control
Ridgebook has no sync feature of its own. If your phone or tablet's OS-level backup (iCloud on iOS, your Google account on Android) is enabled, the app's local database and photo files are included in that backup automatically, the same as any other app's data — Ridgebook does not initiate this, cannot see it happen, and has no access to it. You control this entirely through your device's own backup settings, not Ridgebook's.
What Ridgebook Does Not Do
- No account or sign-in is required or offered.
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind.
- No advertising SDKs, and no ads are shown.
- No location access of any kind — Ridgebook never reads where you are, and there's no map.
- No device identifiers or advertising identifiers are collected.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties, because no data is collected from you in the first place.
- No cloud backend operated by the developer exists to store, process, or have access to your data.
Permissions Ridgebook Requests, and Why

Neither permission is used to collect data about you — each exists solely to provide the feature you enabled.
Deleting Your Data
Settings → "Delete All My Data" immediately and permanently erases every list, peak, summit log, photo, and objective on your device, and resets the app to first-run state. This requires no network access, no account, and no contact with support — deletion is instantaneous and entirely local. Uninstalling the app achieves the same result, since no server-side copy of your data exists to separately request deletion of.
Children's Privacy
Ridgebook is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information from its users at all.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Effective date" above will be updated and the new version published at this same URL.
